You can navigate from one topic to another by clicking on “Resources” at the top of our home page and then selecting the topic of choice from the drop-down menu. You can also switch topics if you have already selected one by choosing a different one from the ‘Select a topic’ dropdown.
📍 SERVICES: Click on "SERVICES" to browse through various service types such as Legal Assistance, Accommodation, Basic Needs, Education, Health, and much more. You can toggle between viewing services in a map view or in list view. Additionally, you can run an area-specific search by entering your city, county, or state next to the magnifying glass in the map 🔍🌍. Please note that our service map is continuously updated, so keep checking back if you don't initially see a specific service listed in your region.
Who We Are
ImportaMí is a project dedicated to providing reliable, accessible, and relevant information to unaccompanied children and their sponsors in the United States.
Our goal is to support and empower children through key resources and referrals to legal and social service providers. Our service aims to deliver information that is accessible, accurate, and contextualized to the specific needs of children.
ImportaMi is part of Signpost, an initiative of the International Rescue Committee in collaboration with other agencies that creates digital help centers to empower people impacted by conflict, disasters, poverty, and violence. ImportaMí is one of the multiple Signpost projects within the Latin America-US region, with a focus on helping unaccompanied children in the United States.
